The Fresh Start Initiative (TFSI) works towards a future in which all students, regardless of race, gender, or economic background, have the skills and resources to grow and cook their own food. We strive for a community full of savvy, global thinkers, equipped with the tools to make nutritious, affordable, and creative meals.
TFSI feeds the mind, body, and spirit of the underserved population of children and adults through interactive, approachable, and community focused lessons about food from farm to fork and beyond.
Transfer High School students ranging from 15 years to 21 years old. Focusing on CTE & C-DOS.
Early Childhood classes from 2 years to 5 years old. These are sensory and activity based learning programs to stimulate young minds!
High School students from 9th - 12th grade from various schools across NYC. They participate in after-school culinary classes and summer culinary & gardening camps.
